For me, ancient mosaics are one of the most beautiful forms of art going. This is one of my favorites, the 5th-Century Synagogue of Beth Alpha. Istanbul, Turkey, is one of my favorite cities. After a short drive, we arrive in the city of Wadi Musa and the entrace to the city of Petra. A brief walk (or ride on horseback) brings us to the Siq, the narrow gorge which serves as the entrance to Petra. From there we come to an awesome sight, and a recognizable landmark – the Treasury at Petra which we explore at length.
